I'm installing my EAG front bumper today: https://www.ebay.com/itm/EAG-Front-Bumper-Heavy-Duty-with-Winch-Mount-Plate-Fit-18-19-Jeep-JL-Wrangler/153684979538?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

As well as my Rough Country 9,500 lb winch w/Synthetic Rope: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rough-Country-9500-LB-PRO-Series-Electric-Winch-w-Synthetic-Rope/362172368944?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Any tips/suggestions/things I should know before I tear into it?
I read somewhere that I should install the winch onto the bumper before mounting it on the Jeep to save some time and knuckle scrapes, etc.

I watched these videos:

Thanks in advance! :)

There’s not much protection low down under the bumper, depending on your usage you might want to look at a skid plate. Maybe EAG can supply something?

I contacted the company, they said they don't have a skid plate at the moment for this bumper... May have to have something custom made.

I had a quick search, there seems to be a few available from the likes of Quadratec/Northridge4x4. I think you’ll find something off the shelf to suit. Good luck with the project.

Can you post a link to your skid plate? They are telling me that they have not made one for the bumper that I purchased.

Sorry to revive an old thread. I am just curious how the EAG bumpers have held up so far for the people who have installed them. I'm interested in picking one up. I live in Ohio so winters with road salt might be pretty rough on it. Thanks for any insight!

mine has held up great - new york salty roads is the worst ever . the rear one has a little small spot where i drilled a hole for a mount - all i did was cover it with some flat black paint and its been good . other then that they are both holding up great , and hey if they do rust like everything on a jeep u can spray it- and for the price i paid im not really worried if they get messed up
