We just purchased a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon with 3.0 turbo diesel.
I need to install a brake controller for our square drop trailer. The JL has the tow hitch and 4/7pin connections.
What do I need to do to upgrade the 7 pin wiring?

With the factory tow package (which it appears you have) there should be a connector for a brake controller under the dash on the drivers side.

You can either buy an aftermarket (Curt, Tekonsha, etc.) controller or an OEM Mopar controller and install it. I happened to have a Tekonsha controller from a previous vehicle so simply bought the Tekonsha adapter harness, plugged it in under the dash and it was ready to go.
