That's fascinating that there seems to be a set point where you have to be 4 hi pt time with max regen on to trigger this series mode.

Did you find that with max regen off, you had more variation in the rpm? I wonder if it's not even going into series mode in that circumstance.

Only ran the other modes for short periods, as after confirming the dynamics of rapid charge, we were trying to determine if it was only in this state. But yes, switching to no max or 4hauto exibited more of a normal hybrid state where the ice showed 25-40k, and the battery mostly +/- 0k.

I wonder if it would have changed back over after some period of time. I've noticed that sometimes when changing modes, there's a transition period of load handoff between the ice and the electric motors before it decides how it wants to go for a while. Particularly during times like if I'm in electric on the highway and put it in manual or e-save. It doesn't jump straight to the steady state load distribution.
