How close is the key fob? I wonder if it is detecting it. Mine will come on when I touch the handle with the fob in my pocket. If not, and its far enough away, the lights come on when I open the door and then go off after a few minutes once I close it. In order to check the state of charge, if I don't have the fob in my pocket, I have to open the door so it will wake up.

Doesn't seem right for it to stay on all the time though.
This ^^^ happens to me when i go near my rig while its plugged in with the key fob in my pocket regardless if doors are locked or not.

I tried to respond directly to your post but i'm still figuring this forum out.....

On the steering wheel, the buttons on the left, press the down arrow and the screen will go away. it will stay lit up for a few seconds but then it will go away too. the trans lights and the mode select lights stay lit when charging

I have a part 2 to that; I recently took my Jeep to the dealership to get my first oil change. The service technician informed me that he had a couple of flash updates to install. Now when I plug in, the dash lights up for a few seconds then goes away on its own and the lights on the shifter turn off also. The biggest change was that my radio doesn’t sporadically turn on when I plug-in. The only other change I notice is that the power flow animation is a little different… it actually looks better.

That’s good news, I can’t wait to go for my 1st oil change, I still have 25% life to go !

I know some Jeepers here have had some bad experiences with services done at their dealership but I got lucky I guess mine is terrific. Just fyi I brought mine in at around 15% but I was at 10k miles. More than half are on the ICE.

The dealer updated the software last week and it now works fine, all lights/LEDs goes off after a few seconds.
