I can't keep the windshield clean ffs

Has anyone mentioned claying the glass? I use one of those clay mits or clay cloths and you’ll be surprised at how much contaminants get imbedded in the glass. It’s insane how much of a difference coating the glass does. You can literally feel the crap coming out and all of a sudden cleaning the glass becomes SO much easier

Has anyone used Hybrid Solutions Pro which is Graphene Infused. I find it works well on paint and Glass. Better results then Rain X. The Invisible Glass group (Stoner) make a Ceramic Glass stripper and Coating which looks very promising. I am not affiliated either manufacture.

No help with prevention but I tow my JL behind my coach which has a major flat bug catcher windshield. Best way I’ve found to remove the Florida baked on lovebug and horsefly juice is to use a damp dryer sheet, which easily removes the bug splatter but also removes the previously applied Polish Angel wax that I then have to re apply. (Has to be a used dryer sheet not a new once )

I bought a bottle of Turtle Wax' Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray coating (no graphene), but haven't tried it yet. Imagine it should work similar, if not a bit better than Rain-X treatments when applied to the windshield.

Tried Stone Invisible Glass cleaner before and didn't really like the product. Seemed to streak and smear more than most glass cleaners, but haven't tried any of their other products.

I recently and finally used up a can of the same, and was glad to see it gone. I'm too stubbornly thrifty to toss out that which should probably be discarded, so I pushed through to the end, but my experience is pretty close to your own.

I'm now using this glass cleaner, which works as well as the Invisible Glass didn't.

Top tip, don't ever buy a large glass desk, but for some reason, Lysol disinfectant in the aerosol can seems to work great on that, followed by good old-fashioned Windex - though I usually avoid using stuff that harsh on auto glass (seems fine on my keyboard, mouse and anodized PC case, but I just don't wanna risk it on my clearcoat).

And yeah, I'll keep shit I hate forever before throwing something usable away. Maybe I'll use it to clean the dirt out from between my tire tread or something ?

Rain X or a ceramic coating helps quite a bit. Even regular wax of you apply it regularly. I’ve even used Nu Finish before with good results. Wont keep bugs from hitting, but makes clean up far easier.

Slightly off topic, but I have been looking at changing my polish/wax routine. How well does the Nu Finish work for you?

Nu Finish used to be great. It had ceramic in it decades before the current products came out. The company was bought and it was reformulated for some reason. The new stiff works pretty well, but no more ceramic.

The biggest issue with it is that it's hard to remove, you almost need a buffer. Also, it leaves terrible white residue on any black textured plastic it touches. For that reason I would not try using it on aJL.

BTW, if any of you get wax stains on black plastic, original Rain X will take it out. Found this out by trail and error one day, trying what I had on hand in the garage.

When I owned my old '98 TJ & '04 TJ I used to keep a razor blade in the center consol to scrape the dead bugs off, lol

Flex from Turtle Wax, Graphene. Graphene is harder than ceramic, but all coating will likely fail when you use your windshield wipers. Super hydrophobic surface coating do not seen to hold up under friction.

I use the Stoners with rain repellent on ours. Love it. Granted it doesnt stop the bugs from committing suicide on my windshield.

I keep my Jeep dirty 23/7, that includes the windshield.

No point in trying to fight an uphill battle. The sooner you accept defeat, The better off you will be.

If you wanted a clean vehicle, you should have bought a Bronco. I have yet to see a dirty one of those to date. ?

Even when mine is filthy, I have to clean the glass. I can’t stand driving into the sun when it’s low in the sky if the windshield is dirty. I clean it every time I fill up too.

rainx windshield fluid both above 32 green and below 32 orange. AND rainx windshield wipers every 6 months.

all for not, i break more windows than need window cleaners at gas stations.

i am planning an Ak trip via Canada, so I plan to take a gallon of green, use a spray bottle and squeegee.
