Hey guys,

I finally got my two LP4's installed yesterday (been waiting a minute for the harness to come in) and I realized how easy they'd be to "walk away".

I've looked at security torx bolts but I wanted to see if anybody had a better recommendation to ensure they stay on the Jeep?

All you can do is make it more difficult, it’s impossible to stop them. On the Squadron lights you can use security screws to mount the light body to the bracket. I used these and I’ve got spares I can send you if they’ll work for you.

EDIT: I see they use completely different mounting hardware than the Squadrons. Just search for security bolts in the same size as the OEM hardware.

Those were the ones I was looking at, I just wasn't sure if the thread pitch and length would work for the LP4 lights

The LP4 hardware looks bigger, at least in the photo. Take one of the bolts to your hardware big box store and you can measure length and thread pitch using the template on the fastener/hardware aisle. Or call Baja customer service and they’ll give you the size. Then order security screws on Amazon or any number of online fastener vendors. You might even be able to find black ones.

Keep in mind that even harbor freight sells a security bit set for cheap...

Yes. No hardware will stop someone prepared and determined. But it’ll stop a casual casual theft of convenience.

Hey Jlandry287, we sell a lock out style bolt that goes from the bracket to the light with a unique style bolt head. Its almost impossible to loosen these without the right adapter. Ill go ahead and link what I am referring to.
