I got a set of 37” Mastercraft MXT tires. How long do they typically last (mileage)?

Also, to anyone who has KO2 A/T, how long do these last?

The KM2´s on my JK went about 70k miles, if I recall correctly, and they still had tread left. I got 100 bucks or so for them at a used tire store. It was a 4 tire rotation, too.

I´ve found all BFG tires I´ve had on Jeeps to wear well. Solid axles are pretty easy on tires. Those KM2s held up to lots of abuse, too. The only downside was that they were noisy and like ice skates on packed snow, due to little siping. But they lasted and lasted. I doubt many tires wear out quickly on Jeeps if the alignment is right and they are rotated. I rotate every 4k to 5k.

The BF Goodrich MTs on our '07 JKUR had 80k miles on them when the Jeep was totaled. The stock tires on our '12 JKUS needed replacement at about 40k.

Our current '20 JLUR came with the MTs. Ask again in 4 or 5 years.

What were your stock tires in the 2012?

The 2012 Rubi came with a 255/75/17 BFG KM.

Here's my stock 255/75/17 KMs next to the 285/70/17 KM2's I upgraded to.

Both set of tires had about 35,000 km's on them when I took this picture.

To add to the pic I posted above of the BFG KM's and BFG KM2's, I wanted to mention that at around the 40,000 km mark, I purchased an Ideal Tire Groover and decided to sipe the center tread blocks on the KM2's.

This was my fist attempt at tire siping, so it wasn't perfect, but the added sipes did improve the handling and traction characteristics of the KM2's in both light rain and light snow, both conditions where the KM2's would otherwise have been pretty squirrely.

I don't remember, but I suspect similar to whatever comes on the Sahara trim today. Some kind of "all weather" tread.

They were almost certainly the Goodyear Wranglers. The old version.

If you are daily driving mostly with the MT be prepared for excessive noise and very frequent rotations.

Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ3 28,000 vs new. Daily driver and some trail use as well. Wearing even at 30 psi. They will be okay until 35K but will likely replace before that and winter. They are not loud but of course noisier than an AT of course. There is siping in the lugs but its not deep, so once the tires get half worn down, the siping is gone.

I've been on 35x12.5r17's Toyo MT's since new. i'm now at 12k miles. They're going to make it 30k miles on this ~6k# Jeep. I have no doubt as I've run these on many vehicles from 4500 trucks to 9000lb trucks and now this Jeep. They were always good for 15k-20k miles on a 9000lb rig. I've run many different mud tires and Toyo MT's make the same noise from 21/32 all the way to the wear bars. Most others start to sound like a helicopter around 15k.
