How far can I stretch my axle forward?

In order to fit my 40s with out going taller, I want to add adjustable front control arms that could fix my rubbing issue in the front. But, how far could I move my axles forward before running into another problem?

Running into another problem, do you mean what other parts will need to be replaced? I read some people that went to 40's upgraded axles, tie rods, ball joints, Reid Steel knuckles, to name a few. I would assume you will need a longer driveshaft and long, adjustable, control arms for certain. Hopefully some other jeepers that run much larger tires than I do will chime in.
