How do you post a survey quesiton or vote thread?

I want to post a survey question for people to answer, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

I was looking at that yesterday. Am I correct to assume that the surveys are created with coding? If so I am not sure of the correct coding. I'm flying out tomorrow so I don't have time to experiment.

Nope, no coding required. Just click the option.

I see it now. So you create a thread first. And then once the thread exists you have the option to "Create Poll". Now I know.
