Has anyone here installed Hothead (or whatever make you have) Headliners using velcro instead of the supplied 3M tape? I'm concerned that the Toplift Pro I'm ordering is going to leave indentations on the headliners while I store the hardtop during the summer months, so I'd like to be able to easily remove them using velcro before storage. However, I'd prefer that they actually stay up, as well. So I'm wondering, has anyone has tried this? Thanks!

The OEM/Mopar headliner is held on using velcro. I don't think you'll have any issues. Just use velcro in the same locations as the 3M tape on the Hot Heads.

Not to worry. The Toplift Pro WILL leave indents on the very back set of the headliners. However, they're almost invisible (I have the black headliner) & it's in a place no one ever sees. I can feel a slight depression on mine but can't see the indent after using this for 3 years. Not worth doing the velcro IMO unless you just want to be able to totally remove the headliners for some reason.

The bigger issue for me was the permanent staining on the white hardtop at the front due to the rubber caps. Make sure Hothead company has fixed this or you cover the rubber caps:

Thanks for the reply, David. That's what I'm thinking of doing.

Damn, Tiger! That sucks! That seems like a pretty serious design flaw. Thanks VERY much for the warning. Will definitely cover them with something.
