Got my 2021 Gecko JLU last week and doing some body protection. What are your thoughts on hood visor/bug deflectors? I had an avs aeroskin on my 2015 but not sure about my new one. Do they offer good protection from stone chips on the leading edge? Or do they just take away from the look of the Jeep? Thoughts?

It's the real deal. Had it done on my WB HC. Fenderflares take a beating with rock chips. Xpel took a lickin but no damage to paint at all. Jeep goes in for it the day after I take delivery. Doing pretty much everything.

Hood deflectors look hideous…instead use a good PPF like Expel or 3M. That said, I’ve had very few problems with rock chips on the leading edge of the hoods on my Jeep’s….can’t say the same for the windshields.

I have 10,000 miles on mine so far in Colorado. Not a single chip on the hood anywhere. I decided against the PPF on the hood this time and will just touch up any chips that will eventually appear.
