The HDC in my '21 Rubicon is engaging randomly on its own when in 4 low. No dash lights or warnings. Seems to happen more often when making tight turns. Anyone out having this problem? Hate to take it to a dealer, but that may be the only option. Can HDC be deleted? I never use it anyway.

I have not see it randomly engaging. I purposely used it a couple of times in June and July coming down some steep hills on the trails. Other than sounding like the brakes were grinding my rotors to powder, it's not been too bad.

I never use it but it's definitely engaging the braking system and makes the same sounds.

Hi Merlin468 - May I ask, did you ever figure out this problem? Oddly I have a slightly different version of an HDC problem. For me, HDC turns on okay, and only when I enable it, but then I can't control the speed...it stays stuck in the slowest speed. Not exactly your problem, but if you found a fix to your problem, I might try it. I am suspicious there may be a can bus connector problem, or the ABS sensor may be dirty, or something like that. Also I changed tires to 35's and had the dealer make the appropriate wheel size adjustments and I wonder if they forgot to check, or uncheck, a SW feature related to HDC that is tire size sensitive.
Or are you still living with you issue? Thanks!
