Do you know the millions it would cost FCA to do this just to get it EPA certified, and crash testing. Not going to happen. Its all about money and sales!

Meh. I didn’t buy a Jeep to race it. Frankly, the GC was castrated to appease the fanboys and it lost its purpose.

skip the hemi and do a chevy v8 with 8 speed tranny, add atlas transfer case for fun and if you have the money dynatrac axles and some sort of free spin hubs too. there is someplace in las vegas that has already done the swap into the jl. check youtuble. supposedly uses the chevy ecu and is seemless. ls or lt v8. chevy motor with ohc is fits with no issues from what i have seen. supposedly maintains all of the chevy smog stuff and is epa legal. get rid of the ESS and extra battery while you are at it.

Except that the Grand Cherokee and Ram Trucks have Hemi 4x4s so they would just used the drive-trains from those vehicles.

Not necessarily going to be that expensive. IF they were to add a Hemi from the factory option I think it would be similarly priced to the Grand Cherokee Hemi upgrades. And I'm talking about the 360Hp 5.7 Hemi, and not the 392 or the Hellcat.
Edit: Upgrading the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk from the 3.6 to the 5.7 is $3295 MSRP. And that includes the different 8 Speed Auto and 2 speed transfer case for the Hemi.
