I have removed pins before but for some reason this one is giving me fits. does the white piece need to be removed? I have tried but afraid if I tried any harder I would ruin it. I have pushed pin removal tools in the square slots below the pins and nada...what the heck am I doing wrong....this is the harness from a 2024 plastic bumper for the fog lights....any help would be appreciated....thanks

That white tab is the terminal locking tab. It needs to be fully removed to gain access to the terminal locks. Once it is removed you can put a pick in there to pull the locks away from the terminal and simply pull the terminal out.

There is a chance you break that white lock retainer since it's so deep in the connector. Do note it is a SECONDARY retainer, and you don't necessarily need to put it back once removed. Just get in there with a pick and rip it out, they usually pop out.

A quick idea would be to put a pair of needle nose pliers on that open terminal slot to get a good grip on it.
