Got my 21 ecodiesel rubicon back in december of 21 with 5 miles on it. Put 3,500 miles on it all stock everything, loving everything about it. Never a single issue or vibration. I put a 3.5" metalcloak game changer lift and some 37x13.50 Nitto ridge grapplers with some kmc 17" rims. Had a local shop mount balance and install wheels and then do an alignment. Got it back and instantly realized there was a new vibration I can feel in the steering wheel, seat, pedals, shifter, and center console. This vibration ONLY happens from 10 mph to around 35 mph and then it completely smoothes out and it drives beautifully down the road/highway at higher speeds. I checked all the basics (lugs torqued, messed around with PSI in the tires, did chalk test on the tires, verified everything under the jeep was still torqued down to actual spec with a torque wrench and nothing was loose) I was puzzled and brought it to a 4 wheel parts near me for a different opinion and set of eyes to see what the hell they find. They had the jeep all day long and told me the pinion angle for the rear driveshaft was off and they fixed it to line up perfectly. 0 degree pinion angle is what it says on the print out they gave me. Everything else was good too (alignment, caster angle, toe and all that good stuff) The manager told me he was puzzled because the vibration is still there! I brought it back to them for another full day of troubleshooting and he had multiple techs take a look and no one could figure it out! The manager of 4 wheel parts even called metalcloak in CA and they were at a loss too! (I dont think its the lift) Thankfully they felt bad for me that the issue wasnt fixed and they never charged me for any troubleshooting or the pinion angle correction. They told me it feels as if the vibration is coming from the transfer case/ driveline and they would recommend taking it to dealer..... (I get scared to bring to dealer especially with brand new lift and oversized wheels on the thing) So I have tried again and again to put the jeep in neutral while the vibration happens to see if it gets slightly better or goes away. Absolutely no change at all when the jeep is in neutral. Same damn vibration. Hopefully this means it is NOT the drivetrain and it just has to do with these rims and tires. Maybe the lug centric vs the hub centric thing??? Idk im at a total loss everyone! Someone out there have ideas or a problem like this they have had and fixed in the past??? Looking anxiously for a response.

Did the tire shop do a road force test on your new tires and wheels and varify the new wheels are true?

This is a good question. I actually do not know that. I will call the shop tomorrow and ask them if they have the capability of doing a road force test. If not then I will probably bring back to 4WP and ask them to do that. This would make sense too because after installing the lift myself I drove it home all goofy with the stock rims and tires and there were no vibrations at all......

It's a pressure test that measures a particular pounds of force applied and it maps the changes to be able to correct this if possible.

I appreciate this info!
You're welcome! Hope you get it sorted out.

I had some Mickey Thompson mud tires installed and they used the method I described to mount and balance. I have no noticeable vibrations at any speed.

Nice looking Jeep by the way!
