Hi guys,

I have a 2024 Willy’s and I take care of it like crazy - today I noticed the little rust? underbody.

What are my options and should I be worried?

Why is it even reaching this point so fast - literally nothing I’ve owned has progressed in 1.5 years like this.

I included a picture!

Probably was hit by a rock from the wheel. Not a issue at all. This is actually frame not body.
You can sand it and spray it or if my memory is good just unbolt it. But if you decide to unbolt it be advice this is a security feature in place to protect the passengers in case of accident.

Frame rust - hit it with some POR-15 and it will seal it and make it look new. Brush it on with a foam brush but don't get it on your fingers unless you want it there for several weeks.

Unbolting to completely remove it will require you to cut the bolts. Be warned though, If you are worried about that little bit of rust then I suggest you remove it and paint both sides because it's rusting in between the bracket and frame for sure.

This is what it looks like behind the bracket when removed.

I pulled mine off because it kept getting hung up on rocks.
