I'm not anal over a specific color as you so think. Do you have the capacity to read and fully take in an entire conversational topic? From what I've seen from you; the answer is a resounding no. Elementary School English must not have been a fun subject for you.

I never asked an entire forum to stop discussion over this. I simply stated and meant; don't past judgement on what you think a color may be until you do what was shown to get a picture of Punk'N to be accurate. If I offended anyone, I'm sorry; it wasn't meant to be this way.

It does me no good to gloss over my disdain with FCA I voiced in that other posting and my reasoning that I already have wrote about. You just don't seem to get it; I have nothing more to say to you or anything concerning this topic. It's very difficult to have an intelligent conversation with someone who only sees one side of the story.
I’m sorry your repetitious and immature nature of asking dumb questions even after getting the answer to them lead me (and what appeared to be a few others) to think you’re acting childish. Then there is the jumping into topics and taking post out of context followed by acting like an ass when you’re called out for it..... Especially with your overly vocal “disdain” for FCA on a topic that appears to be way over your level of comprehension. Oh well...

Just ordered a 2-door hardtop over the weekend and was not advised of any " restriction" .... do we have confirmation anywhere that 2-door production is actually underway as per the schedule?

Hello FormerlyMort and Rubi,

The 2 door hardtop is expected to start production within a few days. Please note this is tentative and is subject to change. Very sorry for the delay.

JEEP CARES,

Can you find out for all of us in JB or JS, what part is "backordered" and an ETA for delivery of the parts to kick start all of the JLs waiting in those status?

@Jeepcare Can you answer this? it was added on my Sport manual order and was told it was required now??
DSA Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle $595
Hello!
Yes I can confirm that on the JL Wrangler Sport/Sahara the DEM Manual Transmission requires the DSA axle. I do apologize if this affects your decision due to the price increase.

@JeepCares Should the front windshield tie down brackets or cinch straps be included on delivery? Are they backordered, or not included at all? Please see the page 152 of the 2018 JL Wrangler Owners Manual. They should look like what is pictured below.

From page 152 of the manual: "7. Secure the windshield by passing a cinch strap through the footman loops on either side of the hood and on the windshield frame. Tighten the strap to secure the windshield in place."

Does this mean that they have started producing 2-door SOFT tops then?

@JeepCares,
Yes to both of these please. I did a chat with Jeep Cares and they said my Jeep is built but waiting for Part, I have heard on here that it might be the Rubicon Decals, which would be ridiculous if that was the case. You could deliver the Jeep and then just mail me the decals later. And it would be nice to know about the tie downs.
Thanks!

This thread is useless. It's just everyone asking order status. I wish would could get that into another thread...

I wasn't asking them to check on my order specifically, but rather tell us what part is holding everyone up. Its all about asking them to communicate with their customers which isn't too much to ask.

I am guessing if you laid down a few thousand to order a new Jeep and you were told the build is completed but is waiting for an extra part you would just sit on your hands? I am trying to line up pulling the money to pay for it and selling my old car. Just would like to know what is holding it up and approximately how long it will be delayed. I don't think that is too much to ask, or out of line for this thread.

Thanks for the clarification. I was planning on getting it with my manual so makes no difference to me!

That said, I think it leads to a dishonest starting MSRP for the wrangler, since a $600 option is required for the lowest configuration....
