Yeah, I had an AR on my TJ. It worked well. I would consider a set for the JL but I am REALLY pleased with the on and off road performance / handling now so Im not super motivated to make that upgrade.
Don't mind me. I just like poking the bear on occasion. ?

I’m resurrecting this thread to show why the no limits are the best way to go for Rubi electronic sway bar on rigs with a lot of articulation IMHO…….

I was finally able to get my hands on some MC sway links so I could show the difference between the oem style and no limits style links.

This is in “NO WAY “ a knock on MC. I love me some Metal Cloak, they’re a top tier company with great products and service…. Their links were the only ones (long enough) I could use for this because I was afraid of inverting my sway bar.

They didn’t restrict any droop because of their length, but after running them for a few weeks, wheeling and highway, I’m already compromising the axle side bushings…….The highway ride is the same with both styles, no noticeable difference in NVH , but I’m really not a very good judge of that……..The MC links are very inexpensive, though also very well made as you would expect from them…….

On the drooped side there was considerable less binding, therefore allowing full droop….

At 6000 miles my Clayton end links are shot.

Which size no limits link do I want for a shock drooping 29”?

I can’t find mom/max lengths of these things anywhere.

Do you know how long yours are? Or how short you can get them?

I hate talking lift height. It all depends on how you are bumped for tires and how much droop you have in shocks. Lift height is some nether-region in between.
I’ll measure them when I get home, but the lift height is important and in this case has nothing to do with bump stop… you don’t want them to long that it puts your sway bar at a ridiculous angle at ride height and yet they need to be long enough not to invert…..

Tru tru.

Not inverting is shock length.

I guess with bump I was thinking of other mods.

Also… trying to decide between the 3.5-4” shocks vs the ones you have. Do you have any issues with springs unseating? Need spring retainers? My springs are the synergy. 21.75 and 18” free lengths. Debating a spacer in the rear. Maybe 0.75”. Or maybe front AND rear.

My end links are adjusted to 11.5”, they are 8 “ out to out on the jam nuts…..mine are almost 5 years old, I think they only had one size back then….

With synergy springs you’ll definitely need to run limiting straps…. You need to run a dual rate like MC or triple rate like RK in order to keep springs seated in the front if you get the 6” lift shocks like mine….

I have no issues with the springs in the front, but if both rear wheels droop at the same time like jumping (not likely) or when I put it on a lift to work on it, my springs fall out…

To remedy this, I put a single limit strap in the middle utilizing my truss for my upper CA ….this way I still have full extension at the wheel when articulating….. the rear springs stay put if I’m stuffing one side and drooping the other…….

All of that is bad ass.

The more measuring and what not I did, the more I came to the same conclusions. I’d have to go with 4” springs in the rear just to get close to your free length.

I’ll probably stick with the 3.5-4. As much as I’d love to have your headaches, it starts feeling like diminishing returns at some point. I’ll have to think on it for a while!

I guess I’ll have to call RK on
Monday to get the adjustable range of each of their No limits sway links.

What is flipping the sway bar? Is this when it is no longer level? I have a JLUW so not auto sway bar disconnect. I have Rubicon springs with a TF leveling spacer lift and I'm wondering how to know if I should have longer links?

It’s when it inverts or bends the other way, if you don’t have the elect disco there’s no issues…..here’s mine straight before I adjusted it longer… you don’t want it to bend like the yellow line it makes for a long day…….
