Finally figured out how to apply XPEL film on the headlights and deal with the extreme curvature.
It really helps to remove the lights from the JL.
I have the LEDs, which have a convenient 2” tall section in the middle, so I started with a 2” vertical section of film placed in this area. Yeah, there will be more “cut” lines, but they get lost in LED section.
I then divided the remaining area into 4 quadrants and cut “quarter” sections for these areas. From there, is was a LOT of manipulation to ensure the only wrinkles are towards the edges of the lights which will be covered by the grill/surrounds.
