Hardwired the Dashcam today.
Had reached out to dongar and they told me they don’t have a model compatible with JL.

I don’t want to run an adapter to the battery and mess with fuses so I tapped into the power in my rearview mirror. I don’t have adaptive cruise, just a regular mirror.

Here’s what I used. It was a little tricky but it works and the wires are hidden away.

Hope this helps if you are trying to power your Dashcam.

Nice! I have the auxiliary switches which come with a battery tap and an ignition tap in addition to the four taps for the auxillery buttons under the passenger footwell so I tapped into the ignition wire since I want it to only record when the Jeep is running.
Also, my dashcam required a basic 12v power input, not a 5V USB input, so that made it a little easier.

I was going to tap into that (and still might depending on if this adapter lasts) but since I need the 5 volts I didn’t want to mess with cable management of the other hardwire adapters.

Nice. I did run my wiring to the battery and it's not hard at all. Yes, tapping into a local power source is much easier.

Were you really able to just push the ends into a wiring harness? Any pics by chance?

Looks good - nice and clean! I'm gonna give this a shot, hopefully this weekend.
