For those of you that hardwired the Dashcam in and have the AUX switches, did you:

1) Use the extra battery and ignition wire
2) Use either switch 3 or 4
3) Wire it up another way.

Thanks

I don’t have the aux switches, and don’t think I’d take up a spot for a camera if I did, but I wired it into the dash cigarette lighter and ran a wire from the rear cigarette lighter (always on) to under the passenger seat where I have my GMRS radio mounted. I used the low voltage switch that came with the BlackVue package, does its job, but always turns off when I get in, the voltage drops as the Jeep turns other things on, haven’t played with the switches. For future installs, I liked the look of having it mounted on the panel above the rear view mirror and not on the glass, nothing stuck, ended up using some PVC construction adhesive, not my 3rd choice but it works.
