Do yourself and your Jeep a favor and go buy a few Harbor Freight 40x72” moving blankets. They seem to be tailor made for the back of a JL unlimited (and possibly a 2dr with some additional folding).

Here is why:

-They fit the the cargo area perfectly with seats folded down. I layer several of them.
-With seats raised, they fit perfectly folded in half.
-They are a cargo mat replacement that can be thrown in the wash.
-When off-road, they are great to lay on if you have to do work under the vehicle.
-If you get muddy, greasy, whatever, they can serve as a temporary seat cover.
-They serve as occasional seat covers for dogs and kids.
-If you are stranded in cold weather, they can serve as a blanket.
-They add negligible weight. Rubber mats are heavy.
-They are cheaper than dirt. I think they are even free sometimes on special with other purchases.

I took the Harbor Freight $4.50+ pad, and had an old gal sew up the sides to make the pad, a big pocket. Actually, had two sewed up like this.

The pads are not hard to sew thru, as the material is not that dense.

I use these pockets to hold my Freedom Panels. Protects them and so much easier then using the Freedom Top bag. The pockets with the Freedom panels in them, just lie in the back of the 2dr. JL that has the rear seat removed.. Panels are well protected this way.

Oh, yes, use the same pads for all the other routine thnigs you would use such a pad for.

@theplankeye

I also, have them for use if and when I am ever in a hail storm and cannot find shelter for the vehicle.
You take a couple of these pads, soak them with a hose and then lay them on the hood of the vehicle.
They will prevent hail damage unless the hail is super big.

These pads have saved my vehicles from hail damage more then one time over the years.

Just looked to see what the Yeti Lowlands blanket dimensions are 55" x 78". One of the colors is a neat red that would go with the interior red highlights. Just a little too big. Oh, and as you suspect, they are $$$$

Geeeez, I was just thinking. I could have the ole gal next door make me one more big pocket for me.

I could use it to keep my spare fob in when my friend transports it for me with his JLU..

The big pocket would hide it .... would prevent prying eyes from seeing it back there..

Also, would prevent it from damaging the plastic panels in the back of my buds, JLU.

These lights are great. I was checking the oil on my tractor and used the light and had it magneticly attached to the engine. About a month later I was looking for the light. Sure enough, it was still right where I left it. A little dirty, but charged right up.
While you guys are at HF, pickup one of these (they go on sale for 18.99 all the time):

I love this light. Awesome when you’re changing oil - just stick it to the frame. Also works great under the hood.

There's a coupon on HF's website for these blankets, $3.49 each... I bought 5 of them, one for my Rubi, one for the wife's Sport, and 3 for the shop for fender covers... There are also coupons for several of those led lights... PSA: If you save these pictures on your phone, they can scan the pic straight off the phone and will honor the pricing...

I keep 2 under rear seat, and 2 in cargo area, I used them for the soft top windows a lot, fold the windows into the blanket, keeps them safe from melting onto eachother.
good emergency blanket, good work blanket, good tent, hammock, table cover. picnic blanket
