I had the opportunity to buy a set of doors for super cheap, but I wanted to verify the process on modifying half doors before making the purchase. I actually called the custom shop and was told it was a long and difficult process. Apparently the aluminum in the JL is super difficult to work with in regards to welding.

Additionally it was said that Jeep will be releasing half doors for the JL but not anytime soon.

Unfortunately from what I've heard they don't seal well against water. I deal with swamps quite often so that's a deal breaker for me.

We got ours done and they definitely change the look of the build! We made them lower so it’s arm rest height.

It’s pretty pricey but I did all the work so that cutdown on price. These turned out to be about what Mopar half doors are priced at normally

They look fantastic! Damn it been waiting since 2018 for half doors and looks like Jeep is in no hurry to offer them just keep teasing us with them on "concepts"... Half doors = what a Jeep should look like!
