Hi,
It had not occurred to me that the form-fitting heat shields supplied with the Group 48 / H6 batteries would not be a good fit for the longer Group 94 / H7 batteries.

Has anyone found out the part number for the heat shields that MOPAR uses on any of their vehicles ( perhaps some RAM diesels ) that are factory-specified with Group 94 batteries?

I expect that many will suggest that the existing heat shield be discarded when upgrading batteries, but I would like to find a heat shield made for the longer size and use it in a manner similar to the OEM fitment.

I have found some aftermarket shields, but am still wondering about the OEM options.

Thank you!

I reused my H6 onto my H7. I cut the side corner opposite from the negative terminal and then left the battery loose till I had the cover in place. I then wedged the battery to the front of the Jeep to help hold this cover in place.

Hi,
I did something similar by disassembling the catch tabs and fitting the material as best as I could.

If I can figure out a part number for the correct fit part, I will place an order.

The MOPAR parts listings don't offer any substantive descriptions so it's not easy to figure out.

Thank you.
