Was thinking about putting an H7 in my Sport S to have a little more reserve power and see if my ESS starts working again. I have seen that all I need to do is remove that little plastic block and it should fit.

My question is if that felt type battery cover thing will still fit, do I need a bigger one, or do I need one at all?

Thanks!

I upgraded to an H7 back in November and still use the felt. It's probably not needed but I left it in place.

See if your ESS starts working again? Not sure what that means and If your ESS battery is dying and was killing your H6...it will kill your H7 without replacing. I bypassed my ESS with a jumper a couple of years ago.

@dsgrey Did you use the original felt cover thingy? Does it stretch enough to cover the H7 or did you get a larger one?

I replaced the smaller battery 4 months ago but didn't improve my ESS. If I put trickle charger on system it'll work for a week or so, then stops again. So I am thinking maybe the large battery is the culprit instead of the smaller one.
