Hello,

I'm planning on ordering a 2020 JLUR with steel bumper and would like to add the small Mopar grille guard. Prior to the release of the JL there was speculation that there would be some sensors (ACC?) in the grille and that any type of aftermarket bar placed in front of them would interfere. My understanding is that the ACC sensors/cameras are behind the rear view mirror so I'm wondering if there are any other devices in the grille that would be impacted by adding a tube bar. I would also probably add a couple of round lights on top of the bar, so the obstruction would be a little higher than just the Mopar bar.

Does anyone have a JL with safety features that are impacted by a grille guard (and things mounted to it)?

Thanks!

Yes, all acc sensors are behind the rear view mirror at the top middle of the windshield. The only thing to worry about blocking in the front, is wind through the radiator. A simple bull bar and a pair of lights won't cause any issues.

I went with the SLP bar from Maximus-3 with the frame reinforcement brackets. I chose it over the Mopar, and a lot of others, because its made with 2.5" tubing vs 2" or smaller. In my opinion, the larger diameter better compliments the overall look.
