Install Waze. It's a much better AA/CarPlay GPS program.

In the interim though, Google "Maps missing from CarPlay" and there are a few fixes. The first thing I would do is kill all processes on phone and restart it.

But seriously, install Waze. You'll thank me for it.

I'm sorry what I was looking for is Google Earth. I want to see the 3D version showing me the earth. I had it and now it's gone

Google Earth app? Did not know it worked with Android auto or Car Play.
