Gobi Sky One Touch Rack on Soft Top

The Gobi website says the Sky One Touch rack is not compatible with soft top wranglers. The main point of contest with the regular rack is that it is rubbing the soft tops. The Sky One Touch rack would allow the extra space to where the rack wouldn’t rub the top. Does anyone have any experience with putting a Gobi Sky One Touch rack on a soft top? Or know why the website says they are not compatible with soft tops?

I'm not sure about that specific issue, but have you looked at Adventure Rack Systems racks? They're significantly beefier.

I always assumed they aren't compatible because you cannot flip open the soft top with it on. If you don't care about opening it you might call them to get some clarification and see if it will work otherwise.
