I watched the video and Matt was not in on the recovery. Great job for a difficult situation.
Great channel
The Morvair is pretty special, small block Chevy up front, lots of body stiffening, etc.
Wait until the Heavy Wrecker is done, then we'll see some big time recoveries.

He might not have rolled it over if he didn't have 2,000 lbs of junk in it.
Is this guy living out of the Gladiator? LOL

He ran off a perfectly good road TWICE after they started driving out of there. Methinks "impairment" might be involve...I'd have called law enforcement and had him checked out before he got on the highway and killed somebody.
That dude definitively shouldn’t have been driving. You’d think he would have sobered up during the recovery. How do you drive off the road again after such an extensive recovery.

Someone revoke this guy’s overlander license, please.

Excellent recovery. It wasn't easy to get that out of there without further damaging it. Could have wound up totaled with a less skilled crew out there.

Yeah, this is why I like watching their recoveries, all of their crew is talented and actually intelligent about how they pull those vehicles. Such a stark contrast between the buffoons that "recovered" alksion's 392 and the MORR crew in this recovery.

Not sticking up for the “buffoons” but I was there. Two completely different recoveries with a different set of challenges.

alksions 392 was in between 10ft+ Cliffs on both sides and no way to attack it with multiple vehicles like they did here.

In Matt’s video I was also surprised by how close they all stood to the lines. Not on top of them like Rhino.. I would stand 10 miles away if I could haha.

I thought they (Rhino) had a much better strategy for getting the jeep right side up but that could also be the difference in situations.

Fair, maybe I am over critical and this video was by no means perfect, I just think the results speak for themselves. This gladiator seems like it was in a worse situation and came out in running condition...

I was wondering the same thing, like Aiks engine would not even turn over and the gladiator guy (seemed drunk) drove off like nothing happened.

I get what your saying and in Matt’s videos they make a point to not cause more harm to the vehicles.

Do the Off Road Recovery groups use heavy lift airbags ? I have seen them used on highway/ heavy equipment recoveries, but not Off Road recoveries.

They are using synthetic lines and aluminum soft shackle pullies, so the triangle of death is greatly reduced.

And this is exactly why I would not spend $50K on a Jeep and take it off-roading. I'd find an old CJ that I wouldn't worry about beating to shit.
