I’m brand new to jeep, purchased my first ever jeep last month. 2022 wrangler sport/ soft top. I’ve been having a great time driving my jeep to work and back and “waving “ at other jeep owners. But, why are gladiator owners such d!cks. They’re the only ones that don’t wave back and purposely make eye contact. Is it because I have a truck at home and didn’t need to buy a jeep truck ? I don’t get it. This is truly baffling to me.

Are they normally stock? Normally see the most waves from Wranglers and then modified other Jeeps.

Modified and stock gladiators. I’ve even gotten waves from lifted Suzukis.
i guess It sort of reminds me of Nissan Altima drivers’ attitude when they upgraded to the new Kia Optima back in 2015.

My FIL has a Gladiator and he definitely waves lol. I've actually read some funny posts here about Wrangler folks doing a wave, then realizing the Wave-ee is a Gladiator and wishing they could take it back lol. Maybe there's a little rift here lol.

Gladiators and 2 door Jeeps are the ones most likely to initiate or wave back in my experience. 4 doors is hit or miss.

We are too busy holding on to the steering wheel - that extra length really gets affected by cross wind, and grieving over lost breakover angle.

:-D Around here (very southwestern CT), it's gladiators and heavily modified (to varying degrees of taste) JLUs that are more likely to wave back - non-modded JLUs are common, but rarely wave back - usually a soccer mom driving.
