Giant soft top box- Install instructions

How big is big? Were the back seats folded down? And if they were, were they able to sit back up once you broke it down into smaller boxes.

I only ask because we are making a family road trip to pick mine up once it's delivered and I'd hate to have to leave my kids at the dealership to fit my soft top box.

Like wesbowhunts, the box is literally the size of the entire cargo area with seats down. Its massive. I broke it down into the smaller boxes at home. Shouldve taken pics but already into smaller boxes.

Any chance you're willing to see if those smaller boxes could all fit into the cargo area with the back seats up?

Back seat up, no way. The actual soft top itself is pretty large, maybe with just the single seat down? But most likely at least the center and right rear seat down, so maybe opening up one seat in the back.
Its pretty big

Well the good news is that it looks like it can be removed without taking off the hardtop.

I'll let someone else be the guinea pig on installing one of these. I'm waiting for a good, warm day, probably in May. I've also got to get a hoist mounted up in my garage before taking the hard top off, too.

Hey, you know what kind of hoist you are planning to get? I haven't been able to find any that say that they will fit the JL top vs the JK top.

I, also would like to thank you for the heads up...This will be my first jeep and I'm kinda clueless as to what to expect when I go to switch out the tops. Plus, I probably would've been a little disappointed if I showed up to pick up my vehicle and saw a huge box in the back, without expecting it.

Nope. That's the same issue I see. I'm wondering if I can just adapt it myself. The rear of the JL top, with that lip, is where the issue is.

What hoist are you going with. I looked at the Lange (that’s what I had with my old TJ and it worked great) but they haven’t redesigned it yet for the different profile of the JL hard top.

How "small" and heavy are the smaller boxes? I don;t need the break seats up for my ride home, it will only be 2 of us o the drive home, but would like it to be easier to get it out of the car once home

I got it out of car at home in garage. Dealer will help if you want them too. The smaller boxes are two longer ones. A big one but thin that has windows, a little guy with parts, and the actual soft top which is the biggest. I’d just unload it at home

Thank you for the information and the picture (I heard the box was large but wow ) . Is it a 1 or 2 person job to get it out of the back? Are any of the boxes very heavy?
