Giant soft top box- Install instructions

Hmm that’s odd. I know on previous models you could definitely have them installed at the same time, obviously the soft top had to be down when the hardtop was on. I feel like I’ve seen it at dealers like that a bunch of times. Maybe part of the way the new design/system works that doesn’t work anymore.

According to the documentation you cannot have both on at the same time anymore. The soft top will be in a box if you have dual top, not connected as in the past.

So I took delivery of my JLUR a week ago and am attempting to install the soft top. (dual Top Group)
There were no directions in the box and the owners manual is missing information. specifically in regards to where the brackets mount to the sport bar and the locking mechanism. If anyone knows where to find the complete instructions or can help it would be appreciated.

There’s a detailed pictorial thread on the steps to install the soft top on here somewhere. I’m gonna use that because the manual is somewhat lacking.

Any tips on how to take the big soft box out from the trunk?
Can I put it down ? or I need to open it and take all the part out first?
Do you suggest I need a second person to help with that?

We unpacked ours two weeks ago and I would suggest using two people to unload it as well as removing the hard top and installing the soft top. Be aware, there are no installation instructions in the box and the owners manual is missing several steps. What is covered in the owners manual is not written clearly and is out of order.

I mangled to pull and slide they box down and stored it in Garage for now.
Still Too early for the soft top here in Canada

The refrigerator comes out slowly. I put a towel down by the rear bumper as to not scratch anything. A video would be nice to see though.

Were your middle seats messed up by the seatbelt buckles being pressed into them by the box? I think I saw somebody elude to this before and I believe it because even just folding my seats down to install the cargo mats, the buckles indented pretty good into the middle seat even just from a short time. I can imagine that the huge refrigerator box pressing down on them for who knows how long from the time it was inserted at the factory could leave some marks!

Yes it was indented tremendously. But it did pop out to my surprise
