Hey guys,

Suspension work is the one thing I'm not keen on doing, and probably what I understand the least about my Jeep. I've had the Mopar 2" lift on my 2018 Rubi pretty much since right after I bought it in early 2019. I also have adjustable front and rear track bars, but the axles never shifted enough to warrant adjusting them. I'm also running 35" MT Baja Boss ATs.

I have a lot of weight on my Jeep (bumpers, winch, etc) and I'm looking to get an additional 1" of lift and want to see what my best options are. Spacers? New lift? Can I just get new springs?

I really don't want to buy a whole new lift and would like to avoid (as much as possible) additional parts required to keep everything in spec with the additional 1" of lift. What do you guys recommend?

The problem if you even go 1” taller, you’re going to throw the geometry off so you’ll need to think about new adjustable control arms or drop brackets. If you go above 3.5” you’ll want to consider a drag link flip kit, or maybe that is 4”, don’t remember. You’ll need to make sure your sway bar links are long enough as well as shocks.

I’ve seen conflicting info on the mopar lift on how many inches it actually gives. I’m sure yours has settled quite a bit. The best thing you can do is to get under there and measure everything.

That's my concern. I guess my question is what's the least complicated was to get that extra 1".

Least complicated would be to put 37's on it. :CWL:

Gut fenders or replace with KBD and add new inners and 37s.

1" spacers are cheap. Try them, get it aligned, and see what happens.

if you wanted to spend $1517 an AEV 2.5 lift would get you another 1.5" :)

I was actually considering the AEV lift cause I've heard good things about the ride, but I've also heard a lot of people who have it say it actually lifts the Jeep about 4" and doesn't really settle.

with your weight it won't lift it 4" I have zero weight ie stock plastic bumpers and unloaded and am at 4" it rides and handling is amazing. I am confident when I add a bumper/winch it will come down. when running trails I will have either my Yeti cooler or ARB fridge and tools in the back so that will settle the back down. I offroad a lot but still in reality am going to be spending more time on the road. I try and hit moab a couple times a year but it is a 1600 mile roundtrip so nice having a good driving road rig too.

I'm looking at your profile pic. What size tires do you have?
