So, do you have to cut off those 2 areas on the B-Pilar so it can bolt to the bracket? I can't find any actual instructions for that part.
Which areas are you referring to?

I can snag any pics or look back at some older pics for you. I don't know which parts on the B-Pillar you're referring to though.

Sorry! We went ahead and cut them off. There were a 2 round parts that were on the b-Pilar and had to be taken off to make it work.
I also had to remove 2 stopper type pieces from the hard top to get it to fit right. They were at the front of the hardtop near where the freedom panels attach.
we got it back on! But the B-pillar has a little gap. Does yours?

It's all good. I think we cut the same pieces off, I just can't remember what they were. I'd have to go dig through old pictures to see what they looked like before cutting them off.

I had to remove those 2 rubber things, too, and then shave the front hardtop mounts in an arc with a drum sanding bit to make it fit right. Fits nicely now, for sure. No issues. I haven't done the freedom top portion yet. One of these days... Lol. When I get a break to work on my own stuff again.

My drivers side has more of a gap than the passenger side. It just comes down to how much material was shaved down to make the plates work and if the cut was straight. I have some rubber sheets on order in different thicknesses to see what will work in there to keep water out. I don't mind the gap that's there though. The larger of the two gaps matches the door gap perfectly so it doesn't look out of place or anything.

Thanks so much!! That’s funny! My driver side is the one with the bigger gap too! The bracket didn’t line up perfectly on that side either. I will experiment with some rubber layer there too, but it’s not an issue.
We sanded the arc to meet the cage on the roof too- but I couldn’t find any more info on removing those pieces. It all works and stayed on securely for the 8 hour drive to CO! So I’m happy with it! I am spoiled with the half door life though and can’t wait to take it back off!?

cool DIY work! ? If I could still weld (been over 20 years so wouldn’t risk it), I would have gone that route…but I took mine to Campbell Enterprices for Nick Campbell to weld and install for me. :)

Looks awesome! Nice color, too. How long did it take them to do it?

Couple weeks is pretty damn good. It’s a ton of work. NC is in that sweater for breakfast, shorts by dinner stage, too.

Thanks for sharing man!

It did go pretty quick, but Nick makes the Offroad race cars for Shannon Campbell, Bailey Campbell and Waylon Campbell who are all sponsored by Monster so he has a LOT of experience building these things. Haha

Hopefully its okay to hijack this thread for the Adaptive cruise mount portion. We're installing a cage on a 392, and getting this part is proving a bit difficult. Hope this helps some folks!

First, we had to do some grinding of the original rearview mirror mount because the holes in the factory cage don't match what is in the genright one.

You'll notice above in Yellow that the tabs for the Adaptive cruise cover are above with the 3rd bolt on the rearview mirrior, whereas they're inline with the genright trim mount.

Trimmed mount:

Resulting position of the mirror against the tube:

The resulting cover ends up being cut in two pieces. The left side with cross-hatches can be installed to the clips in the upper cage trim, but you will need to reuse the cage for the lower portion to hold that part up. (Still working on fabbing that to the cage)

A certain YT video shows the cover being installed incorrectly. After talking with a few folks, its highly unlikely the adaptive cruise control works. I was able to verify with the customer of this rig that indeed, it does not work.. but hes not sure if its because of this or something else with the build.

The adaptive cruise shield must be flush against the windshield to work!

End result should show the cover installed like so:

Next up, the bracket. We tried to center the camera, but were worried that if the camera was off by even a few thousandths, it wouldn't work.
Jeep Wrangler JL GenRight Roll Cage Install photo_3_2024-06-10_13-58-05

So instead of risking having to cut it off and re-mount it after powder coating, we put some 1/4-20 screw mounts above it and cut the bracket off. We will then fab a notch in the bracket, allowing it to slide left-to-right.

@chevymitchell I see that the B Pillar mounting plate essentially blocks the roof drains. Did you or Genright do anything to allow it to drain properly? Are you aware of any more changes they’ve made since you installed this?
