This is awesome. I'll be doing this sometime next year probably so this will be a nice resource.
I helped a buddy install the GR cage in his JKU and the quality is unreal. 100% agree with the points you made regarding choosing GR over a custom solution. The same buddy and I built a half cage in my M3 with rear shock tower reinforcements and it took us close to 3 months. I will absolutely spring for the GR cage on my jeep.

Right on, man! I'm absolutely impressed with things so far. There are a few things off in the directions, but that's top be expected on Rev A. I'll cover one of those things in the next video.

Yeah we had to call GR once for clarification on something but we immediately got to talk to a real person and they were extremely helpful.

Left side C-Pillar. By far the worst part of this job so far… getting that insulation out of the body panels. That was irritating. Lol.

This top landing plate for the C-Pillar is part of the cage that allows it to be removed anytime. Pretty handy.

This is a job I will never do again lol. Buddy wanted to be a rally driver years ago and I told him I would be his Co-Driver. We pick up a '00 Impreza 2.5RS Sedan and order the Autopower Rally spec cage. 3 full weekends of grinding, welding, and folding ourselves inside the car it was done. Had the Inspector for NASA Rally come look at it and he had us add a few more bars on top of our like 70+hrs into it lol.

It was all worth it tho rallying is a hoot but I swore I would never undertake such a large cage project again.

I can see that, for sure. Lol. Building car cages is the "ship in a bottle". At least with a Wrangler, you have absolutely no body work in your way.

Yea I'm sure that helps a lot lol. I might be willing to do a small 4 point eventually but man its some work for sure.
