General Shocks Question

I have the RC full 2.5 suspension kit on my JLU. The ride is good, but not great. It gets pretty stiff/bumpy over uneven terrain (even highways that aren’t perfect). I see a lot of quality used shocks for sale locally (Fox, RE, etc), would putting a set of those on my existing lift smooth things out any? I understand RC is not a premium or generally recommended brand for lifts, but it suited my needs/price limits at the time (plus my dealer installs RC for great prices and won’t void warranty).

I would go with a set of Rancho. Have always got a good ride and off road handling with them as well.
