So I was just about to install the 392 lift I picked up and had my stuff apart and noticed that the JT rubicon Fox shocks are 2.5” diameter and the 392 shocks and JL rubicon shocks are 2” diameter. All 3 have the same at rest unmounted length. I didn’t check the compressed length cause I’m dumb. But I can. Except the JT shocks because I put my jeep back together. My stock springs are ~15.5” long and the 392 shocks are ~20” long. Couldn’t get the rubicon springs out because I couldn’t get the jeep up high enough with my current jack and stands. Not sure how I got it installed honestly. But I’m wondering if the JT Fox shocks are better than the 392 shocks because of the .5” diameter difference. I have no luck finding the extended and compressed length of the 392 shocks or the JT shocks. Anyone have any insight into this!?
