Gas Gauge color

Just got some gas and noticed that the gas gauge is now yellow/orange. Normally it's a beige color like the temperature gauge on the left. Is there a reason for this?

I noticed that when you get down to the warning about low fuel the gas pump goes yellow too. An additional gas pump also in yellow appears above the gas gauge and the E goes red.

Yeah that's normal but in my case, I have a half tank of gas.

Try pulling fuses F11 & F97 to reset UConnect

Does anyone have that problem when the AC on time to time I feel a warm air coming underneath the dashboard

I could be wrong, but isn't that a visual clue saying you're using a higher than "normal" (for your Jeep) fuel usage? Perhaps, related to A/C use?

I know that if you are watching the fuel economy screen and get to or below 9 mpg it goes yellow. I will have to check out the fuel gauge on the speed screen to see if that is happening. That would be a cool quick indicator that you may be getting a little heavy on the skinny pedal.

There are multiple threads on that topic and a fix by way of a TSB. Search and you will find it.

Maybe it knows you have the wrong fuel in the tank? Costco gas does not seem to produce this guage color.

You're Jeep was initially angry because you let the fuel get so low.
Now its annoyed you only gave it half a tank.
