FYI: Windshield Wipers Stop on "HI"

The spring rains have brought an unexpected problem: Whenever the windshield wipers are turned to HI, they stop in place. They work normally in all other positions (low, intermittent). Repair required two weeks and two trips to the dealership, where it was eventually fixed under warranty.
