Fuse size for my lights?

I just finished my Voswith JL400 install which comes with 30a fuses pre-installed on all 4 banks. The only two things I have wired up right now are my ditch lights (Auxbeam 4" 60w) and front bumper lights (Auxbeam 3" 80w). My first thought was 30a is too high to provide meaningful protection but after checking the original wire harness that had come with these lights they also had 30a fuses installed....

Am I right in my thinking it's too much and probably should be closer to 15 or 20a?

You are really protecting the circuit/wiring, not the lights, but you can downsize the fuses if you'd like, if the wattage is accurate, 10-15 amps should be fine per pair.

Fuses are sized to the gauge of the wire, not the device(s) they connect to. A 30A fuse would be appropriate for 14AWG wire.

If the fuse is too small for the devices, so is the wire gauge.

Got it, based on this, I'll stick with the 30a fuses since I'm utilizing the factory harnesses to connect to the Voswitch and those came with 30a fuses.
