Yes they taped it off. He told me it is hard to get such a crisp defining line like that. Whatever tape they used held really tight in the texture. One of my stipulations was to do the grille black and frame it in blue.

Have any idea on the weight it added? I see conflicting reports where some people say it isn't much because its a thing coating and others say its hundreds of pounds.

Maybe 75-85 lbs

Looks great. The color looks deceiving, you describe it as chief blue and it definitely looks like that in some pics, others Bikini. It reminds me of my first Jeep, a 1993 YJ in Navajo Turquoise Metallic. Looked blue sometimes and green at other times.

yea i noticed that too, this is gonna be interesting to get it out of the shop and see how it looks in sunlight, dusk, overcast and all types of random pics.....
