I'm looking to purchase my first wrangler within the week. Anybody have any tips for the purchase process? My must haves are a one touch and manual transmission which led me to the '23 Rubicon at $54,590. Looking at '23 as I've read a bunch suggest going with '23 being this late into '22.

Any feedback around what to look out for or how to get any extra discounts would be greatly appreciated. New to the Jeep world plus not much experienced with purchasing and having to finance.

Read the stickies on this forum. Good information on what to expect with a build as well as dealers selling at less than invoice.

Don’t settle for anything less than exactly what you want.
Be patient if you order because it can take a while.
Drive it stock for a little while before you go mod-crazy.
Do your homework before installing any mods.
Never wheel alone.
Wave with enthusiasm, and have fun!

Make sure you test drive a Rubicon with a manual with whatever engine you're getting. I had a manual 3.6L 2020 JLUR that had horrible gearing that made it anemic and made 6th gear pointless.

Jeep gearing options (lack of) strike again! 4.88’s optional but not optimal without buying at least 35’s , 4.56’s available with XR but XR requires auto! As pitiful as the gearing choices now are, they are better than the 0 choices I had .

At this point, Jeep has closed all new orders for the 2022 MY. Your only option for a factory build is to get a 2023.
