Hello! New here and to the jeep community. I recently purchased a 2020 JL Sports S Unlimited EcoDiesel. This is my daily driver but I do go out to the mountains in the PNW and search for some trails on the weekends.

I've been looking at lifting it 2.5" and adding 35" tires soon have so many questions regarding it. I've been looking at lift kits, base suspension lifts, shocks etc. Reading reviews, forums and watching videos. So far I have been looking at a 2.5" Coil Spring Base Lift and purchasing a set of Teraflex Falcon 2.1 Monotoube shocks. My questions is along with the purchase of those what else will I need to purchase to ensure all the necessary components are replaced. I've seen some videos that say when I do a base suspension lift it's highly recommended to purchase a aftermarket upper control arm. Could I get some insight from y'all?

I went with an entire kit. I didn't want to piece a lift little by little and chase any issues later. when you lift your jeep you will also be changing the geometry of the vehicle. the wheelbase will shorten, the larger tires will need more space to come to full turn and increasing your vehicle height without widening your base stance will make your vehicle more susceptible to rollover on obstacles. these are just a few issues with lifting. 35's will likely need spacers or new wheels with a more compatible offset.

If 2.5" is all you're going, then you won't have any issues with other components. You can always get LCA's (not UCA's) and get some caster correction, but it's not necessary. You can get away with just using the MOPAR fixed LCA's if you really wanted to.

2.5" isn't high enough to need trackbar correction, but again you can get a relocation bracket for $70 if you wanted to.

I have OCD when it comes to geometry, so I would buy the LCA's and the relocation brackets personally. However, they're not required to make everything OK.
