You actually only need four things for any first aid kit.

1.) Everclear
2.) Duct tape
3.) Electrical tape
4.) 3M Silicon paste

Clean anything with everclear including your Jeep if you wanted to. Numb the pain as well, or celebrate a job well done!

You can tape things up with the stickiness of duct tape. You can actually use duct tape to tape deep cuts up so that the skin can heal together easier. Who needs a butterfly bandage or stitches when you have duct tape. Also too you can cut it to shape. Grab some wild growing cotton and you can make your own Band-Aid if you wanted to. I would know, I've done it. ?

Electrical tape is ideal for compression anything or if you need to string up an appendage that's broken, it can function like rope, but a whole lot more lightweight.

3M silicon paste can act like Vaseline in some instances, and is longer lasting and more efficient than mole skin.

Best part is, other than a couple wrenches and some tools, you can keep it in your toolbox, so you don't need a separate case for it. At the end of the day, every man needs a bottle of Everclear in their toolbox!!

You think I'm joking, but I'm not.

I got a really nice scar on my knee, which I got when I busted it at work a couple months back. It was bleeding like a son of a gun for like 5 minutes straight, and then rather than waiting for it to stop, I just wrapped electrical tape around it real tight, but loose enough that I wasn't losing circulation. Worked like that for another 8 hours delivering beer. Got home, yanked off the electrical tape, poured some everclear on there, and then put the electrical tape back on. :CWL:

It was new electrical tape the second time. :like:

I used to carry super glue everywhere.
If it's toxic, I've never had any ill effects.
Does anyone else hear that?

I have used super glue to glue cuts on my hands bak together or where the skin is flexing a lot making it hard to seal up. They now have a medical super glue that does the same thing.

"Silicon" is an element. Its hard, brittle, and metallic.
Your patient would probably prefer "silicone".

Cyanoacrylates ("super glue") have used to close wounds for many decades.

Some industrial formulations may contain ingredients other than the cyanoacrylates to promote adhesion to certain surfaces or modify physical properties. These additives may carry some hazards with them. If you're concerned get a brand specific for medical applications. There are many to chose from.

I have friend that is an emergency room surgical nurse. She built my first aid kit for me. I also have emergency rescue insurance and carry a Garmin Mini InRech so I can get help anywhere in the world.

We wheel off road a lot and at time over 70 miles to the closest hard surface road. Plus we do dumb stuff, we climb, hike, explore miles from the Jeep and are out of cell service for days or a week or so at a time.

It would be very easy for one of us to be climbing or hiking and get injured that may require a helicopter ride. The insurance is about $400 a year, and they will literally do what ever it takes to get us and our vehicle out.
Sounds interesting will look into it. Thanks

Either way, this is the stuff I'm talking about.

I've had this one for 3 years, and I probably use it about 2 to 40 times a month... That one's not a typo. It kind of just depends when I'm doing. It's really freaking handy when it comes to greasing your doors. People like to use white lithium grease, but white lithium grease will eventually dry out and cause more issues than it's worth. That's how I ruined the window channel guide in my wife's old Honda Accord hybrid. That's when I found out about this stuff. Also too you can use WD-40 for doors, but it has corrosive tendencies, this stuff doesn't. This stuff also will last forever!!! I put it on all the doors in the house 2 years ago and haven't had a single squeak since.

On the flip side, I went hiking with my dad down in Fredericksburg a while back, and came back home with the blister on my foot. Put some 3M silicone paste, which I had in the Jeep, on my blister and only had to reapply when I showered.
