Some of y'all are fresh out of the CLS class ain't ya? Where are you driving your Jeeps? Fallujah? Ramadi? Lashkar Gah?
Ha yeah I hear ya! I put mine together based on the rollovers and ejections I’ve been on and what I’ve used, with the exception of the Izzy bandage (we don’t carry them).

lol, You'll need some smoke grenades and a PRC-153 to run the MedEvac as well. ;)

It is good to be prepared, I'll give you that. I really should check out whats in the First Aid Kit I have.

I bought a standard first aid kit, then added a Military surplus kit to it as well as a good flashlight, knife, road side flares, and a few water bottles.

A worthy addition to a First Aid kit:

New, single edge razors (a few) are good to have in a First Aid kit.

Sure if you can acquire both a scalpel blade handle and scalpel blades then go with those.

--Single edges razor blades will do though.

If you don't know how to use it, don't bother to pack it. My kit is really small and has only what I can't improvise. I'll be home in a few hours and will take care of things there. Take care of your ABCs and everything else is secondary.

I bought a MyMedic kit on Black Friday. They had a great sale, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent the money. Great kit and the MOLLE bag is top quality. Easy to take on vacation, mountain bike trips, etc. Not sure it’s worth the money at full price but it’s definitely nice.

That's why I added a Military First Aid kit with field dressing items in them. Scalpel included. :)

I’ll just throw in an extra surgical kit I have hanging out in my athletic training kit.

Good idea. Even if you don;t know how to use one as someone previously commented, someone passing by may know how and that may save your live in any given situation.

I steered clear of the basic stuff: the bandaids and ibuprofen type things. My wife usually has these in her purse. I figured my IFAK should be for serious stuff only. Here’s my contents:
CAT TQ (I think gen II or later you can deploy it on yourself)
Israeli Bandage
Z Pack dressing
Clotting sponge
Chest seal
Handful of 4x4s
A couple 2” rolled gauze
SAM splint (I know I can just use sticks/cravats but it was free)
It all goes into a cheap rip-away MOLLE pouch I stow on an MPS fender panel.
I may add a couple decompression needles later but am hesitant as I’m only licensed to practice in Ohio.
I agree, all looks good. I have both OPA and NPA in my kit, plus a second tourniquet. As you said, ones you can self deploy.

The MyMedic kits are legit. I'm also a big fan of North American Rescue.

Lots of first aid kit info HERE

Yeah. I’d be more concerned with someone else NOT knowing how to use what’s in there if I did need it. Lol. I know how to use everything I carry. Doesn’t help me though if I’m unconscious.
