I sure will! The 5.56 that I posted above has a 20” White Oak barrel. Shoots great at 450 yards with no problem at all. We have a firing range that lets you shoot all the way to 900 yards. That’s and the speed of the bullett is why I decided to go with the 224 Valkyrie. It stays supersonic to around 1400fps at 1000 yards where the 223/5.56 is already in the 900fps range.Please keep us posted of your build. Sounds like it is going to be a nice one.
I had wanted to try a long barrel for a while, so last year I built an inexpensive upper with a 24" 223 Wylde AR-Stoner, not thinking we'd use it very often. I'd guess between my boy and I, we put at least 3X as many rounds through it than the 16" uppers.
