This is great news. The current Android Auto is so bad I stopped using it and deleted the app. Made me feel like it was 1981 all over again. Why would I pay $1k for a "Tech Package" and then use an app that makes it feel decades old?
In the past it was better than paying for a map subscription/updates. I'm used to AA and like the simplified interface. At least they started allowing the use of other apps (ie. Waze)... though still limited UI.

Happy to hear they are updating... I like the capability to review messages and phone history. Too bad my company uses a MDM which requires Boxer to access O365 email.

Android Auto is all on your phone. As long you update the app on your phone, you'll see the new updates on your radio screen. There isn't a need for FCA to push out an update as the radio is basically just mirroring your phone.
I am trying to find updated information for this. I have messaged Uconnect as well as CFJDR after reading that Google is dropping support for the Android Auto App on the phone for in favor of using Google Assistant, Drive command. If anyone has more info I would love to hear it.

Thank you

That's news to me. Just looked it up, looks like the detail are very limited. May have to wait until Google announces more information later this year. I wouldn't see why it won't be compatible with Uconnect since it's just a projection app.
