@JeepCares i feel I should be refunded for my purchase of the led fenders since the main reason I bought them was for the daytime running lights. Nowhere in the instructions or anywhere online does it state that this function will not work on sport models. I believe this to be false advertising. I can gladly send you my invoice from the dealer where I purchased these. Extremely disappointed you don’t stand behind your own products.

Jeep Cares has nothing to do with MOPAR.

If you want a refund, go through the MOPAR distributor where you purchased the fenders and lights.

FCA is a big company with many divisions that operate autonomously and never communicate with each other. How do I know? Worked at the C level for to different Billion Dollar Corporations and am employed by another now.

I feel for you friend . You tried to save a few bucks when you bought the Sport and thought it would be easy to upgrade on the cheap. But at the end of the day FCA threw in some roadblocks to force you to order upgrades from the factory.

As I said before—you can try to sue and go through the 3 to 5 year process of getting on a docket. You may be a lawyer and already know this. But you are confusing several issues. You ordered a vehicle with specific options. It arrived, you took delivery. End of FCA Jeep divisions liability outside of warranty. You purchased aftermarket accessories from MOPAR, a separate division of FCA. The parts were installed by a third party—Dealer. Mopar says product will work in advertisement. You say product works with aftermarket software. How are you going to win? As a corporate guy, if I was on staff at Jeep, I’d tell you you should have ordered the package that came with LED’s. If I’m MOPAR, I’d say they work when properly installed. You may be able to fault the dealer for not doing the due diligence to see if the software supported the changes you paid for. But in most areas, the amount of your claim would be relegated to small claims courts. In some Texas Cities, the Docket wait list is 12?to 24 months.

Ask nicely for a refund or use your Tazer. Good Luck trying to make a Federal Case out of it!!!!

As a customer, I don't care about how FCA happens to be organized. FCA should not make me care about it.
Jeep Cares is the customer service facing side of Jeep. Their purpose is to protect the brand, to make it look like the brand cares about customer service.

I am fully aware of how large companies work. Been around plenty of them from the top to the bottom.

The reason I purchased the sport was not to "save a few bucks". I didn't want the extra features on the Rubicon that I would not use, those specifically being the electric sway bar disconnects and electric lockout. Seeing how FCA can't seem to support their own products, this was the right call. My plan was to order the Jeep with this stuff on it, from the factory. The dealer cut me a deal to purchase a car already in inventory. Jeeps are supposedly easily upgradable. Mopar provides accessory kits to allow dealers to install factory options. Seems that this should be simple enough. Every other car manufacturer I have dealt with to date makes it just as easy to order factory options after the fact, within reason. Some manufacturers even have factory options installed by the dealers as a matter of course. This is not hard or unproven stuff.

This kit was ordered through the dealer, and installed by the dealer. Mopar claims it is tested and supported. FCA owns making this work.

The correct action for Jeep Cares would have been to direct the case back to Mopar, and have them work it with me. Jeep choose to make me care about their divisional problems.

I have zero interest in going to court, for the reasons you have cited. I will continue to push FCA to properly support this product, as advertised.

I am asking nicely for them to make their stuff work as advertised.
