Have you received your U62 recall letter from FCA

Received ours today in the mail concerning the defective "cruise control" and we were well aware of the situation long before FCA sent out the safety recall notice to all Jeep Wrangler owners. Thanks to this awesome forum. We haven't experienced any problems as of today, but we stopped utilizing the cruise control after reading about on the forum. Will be taking our Rubicon in to the service department ASAP.

Got my letter a few days ago and have an appt on July 9th to have it done, so I have to ask are there any other software update I should ask about them doing or will they just do what is needed based on the VIN

Once the Tech has it in the bay, it takes 15 min. tops to do the necessary PCM flash.

Rhinebeck01, it only took 15 min. to square it away, that is awesome! I thought they would have to replace a defective part and tear into our Wrangler. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, just a quick PCM flash and that is it. Be sure to tell the Service Writer that you want any and all PCM updates to also be done. You'd like to think the tech would just do this but..

My one son is ebing transferred to Fort Bragg next month.

@Rhinebeck01 you are correct,,one would think the Tech would do all the software updates but maybe not so when I go next month I need to ask the service writer to tell thenTech or better I tell him so ensure it gets done.

I got my recall notices more than a week after I confirmed the Cruise Control and Steering Recalls affected my Jeep and had them completed. I guess Snail mail is getting slower.
