Hi,
I did what others here have done and joined Tread Lightly for $100.00. My understanding is, regardless of how you become an affiliate, you're still an affiliate. I'm confused when others say my dealership doesn't accept a Tread Lightly discount?? It shouldn't matter, if they participate in the Jeep Affiliate Rewards program you should be good, right?
My understanding dealers are not obligated to participate in the program.

Do you mean the Jeep Affiliates Reward Program, or specifically "Tread Lightly"?
My dealership said they do participate in the Affiliates Rewards Program, but I never mentioned Tread Lightly.

Affiliates reward program. Basically TL is the same thing. It is dealers discretion

Idk - just got an email with an exclusive redemption code for $750 off. I’ve seen in another thread others have received $1000 or even $2,000. I don’t know what triggered it.
I want one of those codes.

Fwiw - I spoke with the sales manager today who place my order back in November and confirmed the Affiliate pricing as well as additional incentives. My wife received an additional $750 Jeep Brand incentive last week as long we we order before 2/28. He said he’ll make sure we get all the incentives that are available to us when the vehicle is delivered.
This is good. However, if you get the incentives applied at the time of the delivery then you will subject to the recent price increase MSRP. If you use price-protection then you can only use the incentives that were available at the time of order. Its a conundrum!

From what I’ve been reading up on, they appear to be two different things. The price protection locks in the price of the vehicle at the time it was ordered. Incentives are separate from the vehicle cost.

The redemption code I have for $750 off has nothing to do with the price of the vehicle, so that should still apply even if the price of my order was protected.

My redemption code was for $2,000 and good on a Wrangler or Gladiator purchased or ordered by the end of February. There were some restrictions. For example it wasn't good for Moab or Rubicon models so I tossed it.

Mine says ‘21 Moab or Rubicons, but for ‘22 only the Rubicon 392 was excluded.

Yeah I went down this road with dealer, and FCA.
If the code was valid that is issued on or prior the date of the order, they can apply it with your original price protected order.

The easy way to understand this would be :
Option 1: get the original price protected and any valid rebates at that time
Or Option 2: get the current price and any valid rebates at this time.

It sucks. I also have a TDM and with the price increase I am almost even with both options.

You did it exactly right. Folks are confused and they call the program "Tread Lightly" rather than the correct term of "FCA Affiliate Rewards". There is no such thing as a Tread Lightly discount.

I never tell the dealer about Tread Lightly, but of course I show them the letter when closing on the Jeep.

And as mentioned, not all dealers participate in the FCA Affiliate Rewards program. Less now than pre-pandemic.

I understand what you're saying, and perhaps it's because the Wrangler was added back to the Affiliate pricing program on Jan 4 prior to the price increases on Jan 17th. When I spoke to my sales manager yesterday he stated that the original vehicle/options pricing on my order was protected, that we can now apply the Affiliate pricing to my order, and use any incentives available at the time of delivery. Now however he wants to get to that final number that we agreed on is his deal, but I expect to pay that amount whenever this thing finally decides to arrive.

"Now however he wants to get to that final number that we agreed on is his deal".........Dealer wants to charge the original price or "work the numbers" to arrive at the same price?

What I meant was the vehicle is now at a lower price than what we had agreed on initally due to the addition of the Wrangler to the Affiliates program and the recent incentive I received. My dealer has agreed to honor the now lower price of the vehicle.
